I just finished these Victorian ornaments this afternoon. They are really embellished egg gourds. Amazing what you can do with gourds. Fun stuff. Anyway, I sort of liked them after they were done. The photos don't really do them justice. I painted the flowers on the gourds, then covered them with irridescent mini beads and embellishments.
WOOHOO!!! I'm so glad you are back. I have been going to your blog off and on to see if you were posting and the last time I went it was gone. All kinds of things were going through my mind. I'm soooooooooo glad to see you have a new blog and are posting again. My thoughts and prayers are with your husband. Hope he is getting much better. Hugs Fran
I'm a Colorado sheep rancher's wife and of necessity the ranch work takes most of my time, but my soul is in sculpting and doll making. I love making the American Indian figuratives, probably because I'm a Cherokee breed and the culture of our ancestors plays a large part in my life.
I was an art major and have studied various forms of art all my life.
I am mostly self taught although I have taken sculpting classes with well known artists to help refine techniques, but it's an on going process, as I am always working on that.
I have four children, ten grandchildren and now have four great grandchildren. .. Yep. I'm an old duffer, but I guess one is as old as one feels.
